I. The approach

Your story doesn’t
come in standard sizes.

A half-formed idea. A flower from your childhood garden. A feeling you can’t quite put into words. That’s a place to start.

We’re drawn to bold silhouettes, patient linework, and the things that make you look twice. We’d rather make something with meaning than chase what everyone else is wearing.

A few things we believe

01 /

Draw it from scratch.

A conversation before a composition. The idea comes first; the drawing follows.

02 /

Leave room to breathe.

Negative space is part of the work. Every line should earn its place.

03 /

Make it feel like you.

Something you connect with. Something that still feels yours when the trends move on.

II. In the margins

A few
studio notes.

What would the first conversation look like?

We’d talk about the idea, placement, scale, and what draws you to it. References help start a conversation; they aren’t a drawing to copy.

Is the artwork here a real tattoo?

No. The bird illustration was created for this fictional website. It is not a healed tattoo, an artist’s portfolio, or a claim about tattooing experience.

Can I book an appointment?

Blackbird Ink is a fictional studio, so there are no appointments. To talk about a website for your own business, contact Seacliff Web below.
